ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in ice driving activities organized by Ice Drift Muskoka (“the Event”). I understand that ice driving involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Vehicle collisions with other vehicles, barriers, or objects
• Loss of vehicle control on ice surfaces
• Mechanical failure of my vehicle
• Exposure to cold weather conditions
• Ice surface conditions that may change unexpectedly
• Serious bodily injury or death

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I freely and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in ice driving activities, including those risks that may arise from the negligence or carelessness of the organizers, volunteers, or other participants.

WAIVER AND RELEASE: In consideration of being permitted to participate in this Event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue Ice Drift Muskoka, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by me during my participation in the Event.

INDEMNIFICATION: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ice Drift Muskoka from any loss, liability, damage, or costs that may be incurred due to my participation in the Event.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS: I confirm that my vehicle is in safe operating condition, has proper insurance coverage, and meets all requirements specified by the organizers. I certify that my vehicle meets the following mandatory requirements:

• Fire Extinguisher: A functional fire extinguisher must be securely mounted and readily accessible inside the vehicle
• Battery Secured: The vehicle battery must be properly tied down and securely mounted in place to prevent movement during operation
• No Loose Body Panels: All body panels, bumpers, and exterior components must be securely fastened with no loose or hanging parts
• Tow Hooks: Front and/or rear tow hooks or recovery points are mandatory for vehicle recovery operations
• No Fluid Leaks: The vehicle must have no active leaks of any fluids including oil, coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, or fuel
• Seat Belts: All seat belts must be fully functional. Both stock and aftermarket seat/harness installations are permitted provided they are properly mounted and in good working condition
• Seat Mounting: All seats (driver and passenger) must be securely mounted, whether stock or aftermarket racing seats
• Tire Requirements: RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) vehicles MUST have studded winter tires. AWD (All-Wheel Drive) vehicles may use regular winter tires, but studded tires are recommended. If unsure about your vehicle, call 647-656-6410 to confirm requirements.

Vehicles will be inspected upon arrival. Failure to meet any of the above requirements may result in denial of participation without refund.

MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT: I acknowledge and agree that all occupants of my vehicle, including myself and any passengers, shall wear approved safety helmets at all times while the vehicle is on the ice surface or within the designated event area. Helmets are NOT provided by the organizers; I am responsible for providing approved helmets for myself and all passengers in my vehicle. Failure to comply with this mandatory helmet requirement may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the Event without refund. I understand that this requirement is non-negotiable and exists for the protection of all participants.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY: I acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any and all fluids, substances, or materials that may leak, spill, or otherwise be discharged from my vehicle during participation in the Event, including but not limited to engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, antifreeze, brake fluid, power steering fluid, gasoline, diesel fuel, or any other automotive fluids. I agree to immediately notify Event organizers of any such discharge and to bear all costs associated with cleanup, remediation, environmental damage, regulatory fines, and any third-party claims arising therefrom. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ice Drift Muskoka, the property owner, and all associated parties from any liability, damages, penalties, or costs resulting from fluid discharges from my vehicle.

RULES AND REGULATIONS: I agree to follow all safety rules and instructions provided by the organizers and understand that failure to comply may result in my removal from the Event without refund.

NO REFUNDS OR REIMBURSEMENTS: I understand and agree that all registration fees are non-refundable. There will be no refunds, credits, or reimbursements for missed events, regardless of the reason, including but not limited to: personal schedule conflicts, vehicle mechanical issues, failure to meet vehicle requirements, weather conditions, illness, travel difficulties, or any other circumstances that prevent my participation. I acknowledge that my registration payment is final and non-transferable.

I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT. I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
